At Modern Medical Clinics, we provide a comprehensive range of medical services to all individuals and families across all ages, gender, diseases and conditions.
Skin Cancer Screening
The Skin Clinic at Modern Medical Clinics is a purpose built, fully equipped skin cancer clinic supported by specifically trained and qualified Skin Cancer Practitioners. All of our Skin Cancer doctors are members of the Skin Cancer Society of Australia.
We offer a range of surgical and non-surgical treatments for skin cancers. There are several types of skin cancer that behave differently and most are caused by SUN exposure. It is never too late to protect yourself from the SUN and never too early to recognise a potential skin cancer. Every sunburn (redness) is potentially life threatening.
Chronic Disease Management
Modern Medical Clinics are here to ensure that you receive the best possible care for the management of chronic conditions such as:
- Cardiovascular Disease (Heart)
- Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease
- Weight Management
We offer GP Management Plans for Chronic Diseases (referred to as a GPMP). Our nurse-led clinics assist the doctor to develop your GPMP.
Chronic diseases often involve the care of other health professionals such as a physiotherapist, podiatrist, dietitian or psychologist. When your doctor initiates a team referral plan for you, Medicare can provide you with a number of subsidised allied health visits. This is called a Team Care Arrangement (TCA).
Women and Men’s Health
Our doctors at Modern Medical Clinics are available to discuss any women or men’s health issues, such as prostate, breast, cervical screening, pregnancy care, family planning, long acting reversible contraception (LARC) / contraceptive implants and removal.
Our dedicated team of doctors and nurses are here to care for all ages of children from birth onwards. We provide all childhood vaccinations.
As children move towards their mid to late teens, they may wish to consult a doctor independently and it is important to discuss this with them and advise them that they can obtain their own Medicare Card.
Immunisations are a safe and effective way of giving protection against many diseases. Childhood immunisations, travel immunisations and occupational health immunisations are amongst the range of immunisations provided here at the Practice.
We provide health assessments for patients aged 40-49 years old, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Island People and people over the age of 75 years.
Our Health Assessments are provided by a team of experienced Practices Nurses and are reviewed by your doctor. These assessments help identify ways that you can improve any existing or potential health issues. You and your doctor can agree on specific health goals and plan ways in which to achieve them.
Whether you are travelling for business or pleasure, Modern Medical Clinics has an interest in all aspects of travel medicine. The focus in the consultation is to evaluate the risk, depending on the destination and itinerary and the aim is on prevention.
We are an accredited practice for Yellow Fever vaccinations and we are able to provide other travel vaccinations including Hepatitis A & B, Cholera, Tetanus and Influenza. Our practice can provide you and your family with a full range of travel medicine services.
Iron Infusion Clinic
Our practice conducts iron infusions. An appointment with your doctor is required prior to ensure that necessary blood testing is undertaken to ensure that the iron infusion is appropriate for you. A blood test determines the dose of iron needed.
