Dr Rob Anderson

MB, BCh, BAO, FRACGP

Dr Anderson is an RACGP Fellow and works in all areas of General Practice and Skin Cancer Medicine. Dr Anderson relocated to WA in 2014 after spending most of his working life as a GP in Devon, UK.  Dr Anderson welcomes new and existing patients and their families to Moderns.

Dr Jenny Breckler

MBBS, FRACGP, Diploma in Child Health (DCH)

Dr Breckler graduated from UWA in 2009 and completed an internship at Royal Perth Hospital and continued to work there for a further two before moving on to Joondalup Hospital to gain paediatric and women’s health experience. She then trained as a general practitioner and gained her Fellowship of the RACGP in 2016.  Dr Breckler enjoys all aspects of general practice and has a specialist interest in Travel Medicine.  She holds a Graduate Diploma in Child Health through Sydney Children’s Hospital.

Dr Eileen Bristol

MBChB, MRCGP, DRCOG, FRACGP

Dr Eileen Bristol grew up and studied in the North East of Scotland where she then went on to enjoy her undergratude/ postgraduate training in the spectacular regions of Grampians, The Highlands and in Ayrshire. Dr Bristol migrated to Ausrtalia in 1998 and has worked in General Practice in rural and regional Western Australia since.

Dr. Reg Bullen

Dr Shang Wei Chong

BSc (Hons), MBBS (USyd), PhD, DRANZCOG, Diploma in Child Health (DCH)

Dr Chong gained his medical degree from the University of Sydney and has joined Modern Medical Clinics as a medical practitioner. He has extensive skills in Obstetrics and hasa obtained RANZCOG Diploma and a Diploma in Child Health. Dr Chong has achieved a PhD in biomedial research with a notbale career in this field. He is delighted to e working in Mandurah WA and enjoys serving the community.

    Dr Dorit Lesterhuis-Vasbinder

    Dr Dorit Lesterhuis-Vasbinder

    MBBS

    Dr Lesterhuis-Vasbinder graduated from Vrije Universiteit, Amsterdam in 2001. Prior to joining Modern Medical Clinics, she worked at Fiona Stanley Hospital, Murdoch and Bethesda Hospital in Claremont. Dr Lesterhuis-Vasbinder is a GP Registrar enrolled with the Western Australia General Practice Education and Training (WAGPET) programme where she is working towards completing her Fellowship.   Dr Lesterhuis-Vasbinder enjoys all aspects of general practice and her special interests are Palliative Care and Elderly Care.   She holds a Diploma Palliative Care of the Dutch Association of Palliative Medical Consultants in collaboration with Cardiff University.

    Dr James Lau

    MBBS (Melb), FRACGP, Dip Skin & Skin Cancer

    Dr James Lau Gradated from the University of Melbourne in 2000 and completed his General Practice training in Tasmania. In 2007 he gained Fellowship with the Royal College of General Practice Practitioners and completed a Diploma of Dermatology (Dip Derm) and a Diploma of the Australian College of Skin Cancer Medicine (Dip ACSCM). Dr Lau joined Modern Medical Clinics in 2009 as a General Practitioner and now works primarily in The Skin Clinic.

    Dr Neels Myburgh

    MBBS (WA), FRACGP, Dip RACOG 

    Dr Neels Myburgh graduated from UWA in 1998 and worked at his first GP practice in Leinster.   He has assisted with supervising the training of medical students and registrar doctors for many years.  Dr Myburgh holds a Diploma in Obstetrics & Gynaecology and is known to be a highly regarded doctor by his current patients.

    Dr Kala Suppiah

    Dr Kala Suppiah enjoys all aspects of general practice and has experience in working in various Emergency Departments gaining valuable experience in managing patients with Emergency and Critical Medicine.  Dr Suppiah is enrolled with the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine where she is working towards completing her Fellowship.  She enjoys working in General Practice and being able to give patients the continuity of care

    Dr Gerry Maguire has worked at Modern Medical Clinics for over 10 years, Gerry is passionate about quality General Practice and continually provides improved health outcomes for our patients.

    Dr Marian Pinto

    MB, BCH, BAD, LRCSI, LCRPI

    Dr Pinto joined the practice in 2013 as a GP Registrar after completing her fellowship in 2014 she continued to work as a contract GP. She is a competent and valued member of the team and provides care to a large proportion of the patients that requires acute needs for medical services in this area. Dr Pinto is also involved in the practice as a GP Registrar trainee supervisor.

    Dr Carl Yan

    Dr Carl Yan

    MBBS, Diploma in Child Health (DCH), RANZOG (Certificate of Women’s Health)

    Dr Carl Yan graduated from the University of Tasmania in 2014. Prior to working at Modern Medical Clinics, he has worked at Moora Health Centre in the Wheatbelt, Royal Perth Hospital, as well as Launceston General Hospital. Dr Yan is enrolled with the Western Australia General Practice Education and Training (WAGPET) programme where he is working towards completing his Fellowship. He enjoys all areas of General Practice, including family medicine.  Dr Yan has a special interest in both Children and Women’s health.  He holds a Diploma in Child Health, University of Sydney and Certificate of Women’s Health, RANZCOG.

    Dr Yulia Muscat

    Dr Muscat graduated from Medical School in Russia and relocated to Australia in 2003, where she later completed her fellowship in General Practice in 2019.  Dr Muscat enjoys all aspects of general practice.

    Dr David Zelei

    Dr Zelei is an RACGP Fellow who previously studied at the University of Western Australia and worked at numerous hospitals throughout Western Australia in the areas of emergency and general surgery before commencing in General Practice at Modern Medical Clinics in 2010. Dr Zelei is passionate about quality General Practice and continually provides improved health outcomes for our patients.

    Dr Yulia Wilken

    MD, FRACGP

    Dr Wilken Yulia grew up and worked in Ukraine where she worked in hospital medicine before moving to Australia in 2015. Dr Wilken has worked in a number of different areas before focusing on General Practice. She has worked at Modern Medical Clinics for the past 10 years and is a passionate Doctor who is dedicated to providing high quality primary care and building long term relationships with patients.

    Dr Yinyee Yeung 

    BSc(hons),MBChB(UK),FRACGP

    Dr Yeung obtained her initial medical qualifications at Leicester Warwick Medical School, UK in 2006, and has worked across a variety of specialties since then.

    In 2010 she migrated to Australia and now calls Perth home.

    Dr Yeung has worked in Plastic Surgery units at Royal Perth Hospital, Sir Charles Gardner Hospital and Princess Margaret Children’s Hospital.

    She qualified as a RACGP fellow in 2017 and now works primarily in Skin Cancer Medicine.

      Dr Doug McCarthy

      Dr Doug McCarthy graduated from the University of WA in 1986. Over the years Doug has had experience in various fields of medicine including GP Anaesthetics, Peel Heal Campus Emergency Department (23 years) and Clinical Phone Supervisor for Night GP (4 nights/week). Doug has been with the Modern Medical Skin Cancer Clinic team since its inception in 2004.

      Dr Dermot Kiely

      MB, BCH, BAO, MRCGP, Professional Certificate in Dermoscopy

      Dr Dermott Kiely acquired his initial medical qualifications in 1977 from University Cork, Ireland and arrived in Australia in 1979. He has extensive skin cancer medicine experience and has been practicing in this area of medicine since 1980. Initially he practiced in Mount Isa Queensland for 8 years, then continued in Perth for 30 years in his own practice at Marmion and Craigie.  Dr Kiely joined the Modern Medical team in 2018. Dermot has keen interests in the diagnosis and treatment of skin cancers, especially with regards to the very early diagnosis of melanoma.

      Dr Garth Oakley

      MBBS (WA), BApSc, DRACOG

      Dr Garth Oakley graduated from the University of WA in 1992 and began his career working as a GP in a Rural Training Program, this provided him with a wide skill set.  Early in his career, Garth also worked with the AMA providing locum services throughout country WA. Prior to joining Modern Medical Skin Clinic in 2004, Garth worked in the Emergency Department at Peel Health Campus for 4 years

      Dr Raphael Blum

      MBBS, DCH, FRACGP

      Dr Raphael Blum graduated from the University of WA in 1991 and began his career at Royal Perth Hospital. Dr Blum has worked in various fields of medicine including Surgical and General Practice. In 2015, Dr Blum joined the Modern Medical Skin Cancer Clinic team. Dr Blum’s role within the Skin clinic involves skin checks as well as the majority of the surgical procedures.

      Dr James Lau

      Dr Tom Matthews

      MB, BCH, BAD, LRCSI, LCRPI

      Dr Tom Matthews graduated from the University of WA his career experience includes Obstetrics, General Practice and Skin Cancer Medicine. In addition, his also performs surgical procedures such as vasectomies. Tom joined the Modern Medical team in February of 2012.

      Dr Stephen Bingham

      MBBS (WA), FRACGP

      Dr Steve Bingham is the founder, owner and managing director of Modern Medical Clinics and The Skin Clinic. Dr Bingham graduated in 1990 with a Bachelor’s degree in medicine and a Bachelor’s degree of Surgery (MBBS) from the University of Western Australia. After completing an internship and residency at RPH, Dr Bingham undertook further training in the United Kingdom achieving a Diploma in Anaesthetics. Dr Bingham has worked in General Practice, Medical Officer in Surgery, Anaesthetics, Emergency department and worked with the Royal Flying Doctor Service. In 2003 Dr Bingham opened Modern Medical Clinics and recognised the need for a dedicated Skin Cancer Clinic in the Peel Region. In 2014 Dr Bingham completed a degree of Masters of Medicine in Skin Cancer and is experienced in the early diagnosis of skin cancers as well as surgery for removal of lesions. With over 23 years’ experience as a General Practitioner Dr Bingham now works primarily in the field of Skin Cancer Medicine.
